My wife and I were trying to find someplace new and discover this place. Not far from our Mount Dora home. When we got there it was busy, always a good sign. We took a high top outside. Our server was Madison. SHE WAS AWESOME. She was so nice friendly and attentive. You have to be patient with my wife cause she will ask lots of questions. Based on Madison recommended choices we started with the shrimp artichoke dip with fried tortillas.i was wonderful and filling. Dinner my wife got the fried fish sandwich which was HUGE and aside salad which was full salad with hearts of palms. It wasn't and crisp. My wife took her fish home lol. I got the Shrimp and grits with pork belly kale roasted red peppers and a poached egg ina vodka creole creme sauce. Huge big could be, so I ordered a large. ALSO HUGE! Great price for what they fed you. We will be back again
The food is great and portions are ample! Service was great too. My friends had the ribeye and they thought it was wonderful. I had the the seafood paella and it was wonderful too. Prices are super.

The cook and our server were absolutely amazing. The food was just as amazing. We ordered the shrimp and grits, fried mahi dinner with onion straws and tots, truffle fries and boneless chicken tenders. The sauces were delicious. But don't ask for extra sauce from the hostess - she will tell you no. Ask the server and/or the cook. They will give you more. The portions are HUGE - so a small black container of sauce is not sufficient - LOL! Also, for the first time in a seafood spot, I smelled NO SEAFOOD! We will definitely return to this location.
Truffle fries are great ... family run and so great friendly service! And Tavares is a great place to sight see --bald eagles and ospreys abound !
5 stars for food and service!!! Plump, juicy oysters $19.99, yes, please. 1 lb shrimp, hot or cold $9.99 on Saturdays. So good we ordered 1 lb hot and 1lb cold ( $9.99 on Saturdays). So good and worth the drive. Our second visit in as many months.
All you can eat crab legs on Thursday night! They were fresh, hot, and brought frequently! And the weren't those pathetic skinny things either! Great house-made sweet tea, and the gator bites were fabulous! Can't wait to come back here!!!
Had a very enjoyable experience at Tiki West. Great personality of our server (who also tendered bar - he did a decent job balancing time between our service and his other chore). Both indoor and outdoor seating (we chose indoor this time. Had the truffle fries app to share. I had the cuban wrap (pretty tasty) Sampled the Southwestern Shrimp salad (lots of shrimp but was missing the avacado - they were out but hadn't told us Shared the key lime pie (yum) I definitely see a return in our future.

The staff here is super welcoming and friendly. They are always smiling and seem to really enjoy their job. The atmosphere is very open and inviting with a private bar if you want it a little bit more cozy. And this is the best shrimp and grits I have had. It's what I always order. My expectations for shrimp and grits has always been high because I have eaten it in Louisiana but this place blew my expectations away.
